"I'm a multi-disciplinary designer based in Jaipur, India. Through the years, I have worked on several versatile projects that have added to my knowledge and experience.
I started out principally as a Textile Designer. I've always been enthusiastic about materials, and this discipline provided me the opportunity to explore and create beautiful things using different materials and techniques.
With my first summer internship at Kalee, Jaipur, I started exploring with material. During this, I focused on fabric embellishment for apparel and worked on Chikankari embroidery and Clamp Dyeing.
During my industrial training at Asahi Bemberg, Japan, I got to explore another new material - Cupro. Cupro is such a unique material, that Asahi Bemberg is its only manufacturer in the world! During my time in Japan, I got to learn a lot about yarn manufacturing as well as marketing and about the rayon market in India.
I gained further experience in Home Furnishing through my graduation project at Akara Rugs, Mumbai. I explored Surface Design for Interiors further while working at the same firm as the Lead Designer.
But being a Lead Designer at Akara is not just about textiles. Here, I gained experience in Product Photography as well as in Print Design and Branding. I also got the opportunity to represent the company at Heimtextil and Domotex, Germany.
Post this, I have offered my Branding, Packaging and Print & Web Design and Photography services to several upcoming brands such as Alpha Mind Global, Terrafit, Touch of Nature, Armor and Rajvesh.
I have also been involved in Surface Design for International designer Chandan Allen for her brand Melange. My writing has also been published on International platform Jobs.Archi.
